Do you want to learn how to turn great ideas into great companies?
Atomic is looking for a strategic doer to join us in starting the next big thing. Get a master class in 0-1 company creation while working directly with the team that took Hims & Hers from launch to a $3 billion public company in a little over three years. This is a rare opportunity to get first-hand experience starting companies from scratch with a team dedicated to your success. Your contribution will shape the products we build and directly impact the direction of the companies we start.
As a business operations associate, you will act as the first employee for new companies we're starting across different industries ranging from climate, fintech, and housing to transportation, Web3, and more. You will be part of a small, talented team that works on 0-1 company creation and collaborates closely with an experienced group of founders and functional experts to research, build, and test new ideas.
One of our past associates described the position as "a startup playground with all the picks and shovels you need to build something that can change the world."
It Matters Who You Work With
We're a diverse and collaborative group that goes above and beyond for our teammates and believes in taking risks, learning from failure, and continuously improving.
Atomic pioneered the venture studio fund model, bringing together ideas, talent, resources, and capital to start companies. When entrepreneurs co-found with Atomic, they team up with an experienced group of founders and a built-in team of experts. Bungalow, Found, Hims & Hers, Homebound, OpenStore, and Replicant were started at Atomic, along with dozens more. Atomic was founded a decade ago by serial entrepreneur Jack Abraham. Forbes has called us the Pixar of Silicon Valley, and we have offices in Miami and San Francisco.
This job is designed to last up to two years and is perfect for someone who wants hands-on experience starting companies in an early-stage operator role. Former associates have gone on to be founding team members of Atomic portfolio companies.

- Define new company launch plans and strategic roadmaps with supporting market research & analysis.
- Conduct due diligence with the right level of research and exploration.
- Analyze data to inform product, marketing, and operations business decisions.

You backup your recommendations with data and focus on building the business case for your ideas. You can effectively present to groups and develop a compelling narrative for different audiences.
- Initiative: Be proactive, think three steps ahead without being explicitly told what to do; Take ownership of problems and follow through on solving them.
Who You Are:
- You might start a company some day, and want first-hand experience building at the 0-1 stage and learning at a lightning pace.
- You have a bias towards action. You move quickly with purpose, prioritization, and conviction.
