Web3 Derivatives Operations Specialist

About the Role

This position is responsible for the daily operations of the derivatives trading business and will work closely with the derivatives trading team to ensure efficient processes in a secure environment. Additional responsibilities will include the implementation of new regulatory guidance as the result of becoming a swap dealer. This will be an Analyst, Associate, or Vice President title/role depending on experience and background.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Proactively interface with counterparties on a day-to-day basis regarding inquiries and coordinating trade settlements
• Help identify and create new operational processes to more efficiently carry-out daily tasks
• Reconcile and track daily positions and movements
• Responsible for collection and monitoring of daily margin payments
• Provide front-line support for Genesis’ assets and help create a secure environment for the movement Genesis’ and our counterparties’ funds
• Assist in developing strategic and operational frameworks necessary to grow and support business goals
• Prepare and distribute trade reporting to Trading Desk and Business Partners
• Implementation of new processes for Swap Dealer regulatory reporting

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in traditional finance, capital markets and/or digital currencies, preferably in the Operations space
• BS in finance, economics or other analytical programs
• Experience with cryptocurrency transactions and/or bank transfers
• Ability to work with and adopt different software/hardware across multiple platforms
• Willingness to learn and research new operational processes
• Demonstrated passion for cryptocurrency markets
• Understanding of Derivative products
• Experience working in a regulated environment preferred
• Knowledge of trading and settlement platforms preferred
• ICE reporting experience preferred
