Web3 Dev Kit Automation Engineer

Genies is culture’s leading avatar technology company empowering humans to create their own avatar experiences. To-date, Genies has been widely adopted by cultural tastemakers and has partnerships with Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group as their rosters’ “official avatar.” Genies has recently launched its consumer arm via its AR Developer Kit which allows developers to create interoperable avatar experiences for mobile and hardware AR. Their first avatar experience, Silver Studio, allows users to design and exchange digital fashion. We are seeking a talented and experienced Automation Engineer to join our Genies DevKit team. In this role, you will be responsible for automating the acceptance criteria for Experiences created by developers using the Genies DevKit. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability and sustainability of our DevKit program by automating the testing and validation processes. Additionally, there is potential for future work in automating the testing of the Genies SDK itself. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our DevKit program and shape the future of avatar experiences.

What You’ll be Doing:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the acceptance criteria for Experiences created using the Genies DevKit.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in iOS testing, gaming, Unity, and C# development.
• Develop and implement automation strategies and frameworks to automate the testing and validation of Experiences.
• Design and execute automated test cases to verify the functionality, performance, and compatibility of Experiences.
• Work closely with developers to identify potential issues, provide feedback, and guide them in meeting the acceptance criteria.
• Continuously improve the automation infrastructure and processes to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with the product team to define and prioritize the automation roadmap for the DevKit program.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in automation testing.

What You Should Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on game & mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C#, C++, Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience with mobile and SDK automation frameworks and tools
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including: professional background, training, transferable skills, work experience, education, location, business and product needs, and market demand. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time employees may also be eligible for equity compensation, in addition to a robust health, wellness, and benefits package.

Starting Salary Range: $125,000.00 to $185,000.00 USD
