Web3 Director of Institutional Business Management

Location: NY New York City, New York, United States

BlockFi is looking for a Director of Institutional Business Management to join our growing team!

Responsibilities

  • Manage high priority business initiatives from conception through successful execution, collaborating with cross-functional internal team members, consultants and external vendors as needed
  • Support key business partners as needed through research and analysis, building business cases for new services or partnerships, and presenting those to executive leadership
  • Drive operational maturity at BlockFi, collaborating with the GM of Institutional on implementing a communication framework, tracking key metrics/objectives, developing reporting structures, and conducting data analysis
  • Partner with the GM in developing, formalizing and implementing strategies around various aspects of company growth and organizational improvement
  • Assume ownership of Institutions internal team meetings - managing the cadence, materials review and dissemination, measuring their effectiveness and ensuring objectives are achieved
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve current processes across functional areas, optimizing our procedures for efficiency and productivity
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and build scalable solutions that drive our growth and improve overall business performance
  • Support the GM in setting the overall communication strategy, planning of internal events and help align internal communications
  • Standardize processes across the platform to ensure compliant business operations
  • Collaborate with department leaders and business partners to determine and prioritize business strategies
  • Provide recommendations to improve business function, strategy, and performance
  • Develop key indicators to measure business success and performance

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in a operations, product management, consulting and/or finance roles in high-growth organizations
  • Expertise in defining and stating expectations and objectives with team members and completing all related follow up and improvement measures
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills and ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of leadership across the organization
  • Experience with a global organization, having built strong partnerships with stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Excellent EQ that understands how to bring strong perspectives together for a common outcome in a positive way
  • A bias to action and a mind set that no job is too big or too small to be done the right way
  • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
  • Ability to think strategically about macro level ideas, and prioritize business objectives through ambiguity
