About Our Client
Our client is a Web3 product studio, building products to help more people participate in the cryptoeconomy. Our first product is Aikido, a toolkit for Internet communities to work together using tokens. It’s currently in an alpha and being used to create Internet-native work structures.
We’ve been backed by the Ethereum Foundation, Golden Ventures as well as angels across the crypto ecosystem.
We’re hiring Founding Engineers to join a small, focused team to build our engineering foundation. This role is perfect for someone who has an owners mindset, appreciates the craft of building software for scale, and is passionate about bleeding edge Web3 technology.
Responsibilities
- Inform and direct our entire tech stack - front end (Typescript), backend (Vercel, Moralis) to blockchain (Ethereum L1 & L2 chains).
- Get your hands dirty building features and fixing bugs
- Report directly to the CEO
- Work with a team of high performing technologists - with expertise from at-scale social software to high frequency trading
- Especially as someone crafting the product, you will be the voice of our customer - the Internet native job creator
- Care deeply about design no matter the product stage. This means you understand how to build beautiful small tools and can map how they turn into large scale systems.
- Are comfortable make decisions that optimize for speed in our race to product market fit
- Present your expertise & thought leadership in and out of the company (we’ll support you here).
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a senior software engineer, with experience building web and mobile products. Web3 and blockchain experience isn’t required, but we’d love to see that you’ve explored the space a bit.
- A record of shipping products and features - whether for yourself a company
- A strong ownership mindset paired with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to architect software from the ground up with current and future usage in mind.
- You care about the details especially about what customers see, but also what’s under the hood
- Strong communication skills (written/verbal) and are generally organized and self-sufficient
- Interests in the craft that are outside your core competency (e.g. in product design or web3 technology)
