Job Overview: 

As a seasoned fund operations and accounting professional, you will work across every facet of a growing trading and hedge fund business to optimize/streamline critical trading and fund workflows, perform internal/external reporting, and be a central liaison for onboarding and managing business with exchanges, brokers, fund administrators, and other key service providers.

Key Deliverables:

    • Collaborate and develop strong working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including custodians, auditors, fund admin, traders, lawyers, and other third-party service providers to execute the fund’s business in an efficient manner.
    • Manage fund accounting from front to back, including performing periodic reconciliation of cash balances, trading positions, withdrawals/deposits, computing/reconciling NAVs, and reporting.
    • Become a point-person to execute on and continuously improve operational processes with internal and external stakeholders and ensure SOPs are in-place.
    • Actively contribute and lead to the fund’s adoption of industry best practices in operations and ensure that they are implemented robustly.
    • Manage accurate data collection and record retention of fund reports, metrics, and documents are in place and deadlines are met with respect to reporting obligations and deliverables.
    • Prepare for and interact with auditors annually on topics encompassing fund accounting to operations.

Experience and Qualifications:

    • Expertise across all aspects of conducting and leading operations in the asset management industry, exposure to crypto and/or technology-driven buy-side firms is preferred.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills along with a strong sense of urgency.
    • Proven success in establishing and achieving key operational milestones, short and long term priorities and ability to shift direction in a fast paced environment.
    • Preference for Taiwan-based or APAC-based candidates, relocation/remote work option available.
    • Any of the CFA, CAIA, ACCA, CPA designations are a plus.
    • Experience with Python, VB Scripts, MySQL, and automating operations processes is a huge plus.
    • Bachelor and/or Master degree from a recognized university.
    • Bilingual Mandarin/English fluency is preferred.
