Web3 Head of Internal Audit

BlockFi is looking for a Head of Internal Audit to join our rapidly growing team and take on responsibilities including:

• Develop an integrated internal audit and SOX function from the ground-up; specifically define internal audit priorities and develop a multi-year work plan fit for purpose
• Proactively work with the BlockFi Leadership team to understand and assess business risks and prioritizations
• Manage a team of 3rd party consultants
• Anticipate needs, identify, hire, and develop a world class team internally or externally suited to handle future growth initiatives
• Work with Head of Accounting, CRO, CEO, CFO and report to the Audit Committee on audit findings
• Develop the foundation for a world class organization by identifying and recommending process and controls enhancement to satisfy regulatory requirements and enhance the overall control structure of the organization

The ideal candidate:

• Exudes high energy and enthusiasm for developing themselves and growing their responsibilities
• Is interested technology and cryptocurrencies or is willing to learn about them
• Holds an internal audit qualification
• Has 15+ years of internal audit and related experience within financial services; broker-dealer, Fin-tech, cryptocurrency, or lending experience appreciated
• Experience with regulatory audits
• Experience working with a global team reporting into the role
• Experience hiring, managing, coaching and scaling up teams and processes
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and an ability to work independently to figure out solutions to time sensitive issues
• Has hands-on experience working and responding to regulators
• Is a team player and is highly responsive internal and external requests
