IOTA Foundation is hiring a Web3 Head of People and Culture
Compensation: $63k - $90k estimated

The IOTA Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established in 2017 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The Foundation’s mission is to drive the development and standardization of new distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) that enable permissionless innovation ecosystems. To realize this potential the IOTA Foundation is actively building a collaboration of developers, start-ups, private enterprises, and government, civil society and academic institutions.
Concretely, we engage in engineering, research and community organizing efforts around the IOTA Tangle – a new generation of DLT specifically designed to be the open and free trust layer for the Internet-of-Things (IoT). The Foundation is a 100%-remote organisation with about 150 individuals in more than 30 countries.
Mission: As the Head of People and Culture you will be responsible to ensure that we are hiring and retaining the best people all over the world. You will create an excellent employee experience throughout the whole employee lifecycle and make the IOTA Foundation one of the most progressive 100% remote employers. Your focus will be leading Leadership Development and Talent Acquisition efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Advise IOTA Foundation’s leads in all people related topics:
- Build trustful and long-lasting relationships
- Act as a sparring partner and work closely with all leads
- Collaborate closely with the people operations, legal and finance team
- Lead Talent Acquisition efforts:
- Build and establish an employer brand in collaboration with the communications team
- Optimize the Talent Acquisition process
- Lead recruiting efforts and take over recruiting of key roles
- Leadership Development:
- Design and execute an impactful leadership development training concept based on actual requirements
- Culture:
- Oversee and align all cultural activities with IOTA Foundations values
- Establish feedback processes on the individual, team and organisational level
- Lead the People and Culture and Talent Acquisition Team:
- Establish a team vision and align all activities and resources towards that vision
- Set and execute team strategy and goals
- Mentor team members
- Recruit, onboard and retain a diverse team
- Create a productive work environment for the team
Requirements
Your Personality
- Good listener with a positive attitude towards problem-solving

- You enjoy a good mix of strategic and hands-on work
- Passion for 100% remote organisations
Your Expertise
- You have successfully led an HR team in at least two different organisations with one engagement of at least 4 years
- Experience and passion for fast-moving tech environments
- Extensive recruitment and leadership development expertise
- Preferably:
- Experience in a 100% remote organisation
- Experience in DLT/Crypto space
