We are looking for an outstanding compliance professional to join our fast-growing team as a Law enforcement response specialist for EU and ROW (rest of the world, except US). In this role, you will be a dedicated specialist who is responsible for responding to law enforcement requests (e.g., search warrants, subpoenas, police/prosecution/court orders) received from government agencies globally.
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work independently and at times with little supervision. ROLE:
Each LER specialist’s principal duty is to make sure that requests are processed professionally and expeditiously, all while ensuring the privacy and security of business and customer information in accordance with the law and with Blockchain’s various policies and procedures. This requires great judgment and experience dealing with challenging and ambiguous situations. Because the LER topic is global in scope, LER specialist must be able to interface effectively with Blockchain employees and law enforcement personnel located in Lithuania and other countries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and respond to law enforcement requests in a manner consistent with the privacy and security of business and customer information, in accordance with the law and with Blockchain’s various policies and procedures
- Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies relating to your role and apply to the business
- Receive and process emergency law enforcement requests
- Utilize a combination of manual and automated tools to compile information potentially responsive to a particular law enforcement request
- Communicate verbally and in writing with law enforcement personnel, Blockchain employees, outside counsel (if needed), and others
- Liasing with other Compliance functions and assist in the identification of patterns and trends that might be evident from the processing of certain law enforcement requests
- Be responsible for reporting daily/monthly statistics to senior leadership, following KPIs
- Proactively identify and drive continuous improvements by using productivity tools for process simplification or increased efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of proven experience in performing law enforcement requests on a global level
- Prior experience engaging with law enforcement personnel in global environment
- Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidance related to law enforcement requests
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Banking/Politics/Law/Economics
- Fluent in English and Lithuanian with outstanding verbal, written and listening skills
- Very good communication skills in oral and writing
- Ability to work together with multiple compliance teams
- Professional experience with cryptocurrencies is advantageous but not required.
