Who We Seek:
We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner to join us at Yandy. This
individual will lead the sales and inventory strategy across all channels and PLBY brands. This
person will provide leadership and guidance to properly plan, distribute, and monitor
sales forecast and inventory by location to maximize sales and probability. The ideal
candidate is innovative, analytical and motivated by driving performance and meeting
business financial objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan, manage, and coordinate inventory management and procurement strategies with internal partners and vendors.
- Optimize use of available inventory to achieve various metrics and targets.
- Collaborate with merchants to drive key events and promotions across channels with accurate sales and supply forecasts.
- Create and maintain item level sales forecasts..
- Develop effective relationships with external vendors and internal business partners.
- Optimize use of available inventory to achieve various metrics and targets.
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and facilitate the company’s growth.
- Analyze financial risk and opportunities through a product lens and work cross-functionally with teams to create solutions.
- Oversee execution across multiple teams, and manage inventory in apparel or another high-SKU category with size or color variations.
- Influence partner seasonal investments.
- Coach, mentor, and develop direct report(s).
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in planning or similar role (s)
- Proven experience with Inventory Control, Allocation, Merchandising, Demand Forecasting, Financial Planning or Analysis Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with little to no supervision in a fast paced work environment.
- Demonstrated experience with inventory planning processes/ tools (category/ assortment. planning, open-to-buy, re-orders, clearance/ markdowns, etc.) in an apparel business,
- Outstanding organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic/creative agility .
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to assess complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions.
- Must have unrestricted access to work in the U.S.
