Web3 People Operations Business Partner - Engineering and Product (Remote)

Compensation: $54k - $100k estimated

RECUR is building the future of digital collectibles on-chain, known as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) – the newest Unicorn industry.

As the first People Operations Business Partner at RECUR, you'll be responsible for providing support to many aspects of People Operations with a primary focus on performance, retention, engagement and career development. You will play a critical role in additional projects and process implementations including department onboarding, and assisting the People Ops team so that we can best develop and build a world class Engineering and Product team. You will be expected to handle sensitive and confidential information and it is essential that you possess a strong degree of judgement and discretion. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, thoughtful, collaborative and extremely organized for this critical role on our team.

What you’ll do at RECUR:

  • Serve as the Engineering and Product point of contact for all People Ops initiatives, especially those related to performance, engagement, retention and career progression.
  • Coach managers on performance management, professional development planning, inclusive leadership and compensation planning
  • Be a trusted advisor in all areas of People Operations including employee relations, investigations and leave management.
  • Enhance and execute on a comprehensive engagement and retention strategy, including regular cadence of check-ins with department stakeholders
  • Work with Managers to provide constructive feedback and coaching to employees; assist Managers with effective management of their teams and instill a culture of feedback and high performance.
  • Escalate sensitive issues to the Director of People Operations.
  • Assist with the implementation and enhancement of onboarding processes within the departments, ensuring new hires are set up for success and knowledge gaps are filled within the first 90 days.
  • Collaborate closely with People Operations and Talent Acquisition to ensure relevant parties are up to date on organizational changes and the People Ops systems reflect those changes
  • Draft HR-related documentation
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations

What you’ll bring to RECUR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, psychology or business
  • Minimum of five years experience related to several aspects of HR, including HR Generalist or HRBP duties preferably at a start-up or fast scaling company
  • Must have experience supporting an Engineering or Product Department
  • Strong client focus with outstanding judgment, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of People Ops best practices
  • Strong administrative skills, including organization, ability to proactively follow up on ongoing projects, and strict attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable fielding difficult questions
  • Demonstrated judgment and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters effectively
  • Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced, start-up environment
