About the role

The primary responsibility of the Post Closing Specialist is to support all loan funding, sales and other trailing activity. This role will assist and provide administrative support for collateral tracking and release, warehouse funding, investor loan submissions, chain of title, final document management, MERS registrations/transfers, etc.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for managing daily/weekly/monthly priorities as established by the Post Closing Director.
  • Review settlement documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with closing instructions.
  • Prepare loans for warehouse funding by data entry, document review and upload, as well as main point of contact for all warehouse communication.
  • Shipping and management of all collateral files to the appropriate warehouse and/or Investor Custodians.
  • Track, review and correct all Final trailing documents (i.e. recorded Mortgage / Deed of Trust, final Title Policy, any recorded Assignment) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage the recorded final documents to ensure that the documents are ultimately united with their respective collateral file.
  • Management of the MERs online process, including registration, transferring and quality assurance of MERs data.
  • Responsible for all investor loan submissions, including the upload of loan data, loan documents, condition review and clearing of all conditions.
  • Submission of all loan level documents for correct transfer of loans to any and all MSR servicers/subservicers.
  • Monitoring all loans pending with investors for purchase advice, warehouse paydown and reconciliation.

What We Look For

  • Experience with warehouse allocations and investor relations, including condition clearing. Knowledge of the secondary mortgage market is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mortgage forms, basic loan file, and collateral files
  • Ability to act independently and manage workload to meet or exceed investor delivery targets
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while interacting with related mortgage departments within Figure as well as investors and warehouse lenders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a high-pressure environment, while maintaining a professional demeanor with all customers (internal and external).
  • Acting with a sense of urgency to complete all priorities.
  • Other tasks or responsibilities as needed or assigned.
