Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Binance’s compliance policies and processes in APAC countries
- Lead communications with local regulatory bodies as well as internal coordinations
- Responsible for handling regulatory compliance matters, assisting with regulatory surveys and filings, license applications and overseeing compliance monitoring programs
- Prepare communications to regulators showcasing Binance’s state-of-the-art regulatory processes and procedures and identify possible gaps that need to be addressed for full regulatory compliance
- Stay ahead of new regulatory developments that may impact Binance’s business operations such as the travel rule, PDPA, etc.
- Manage key strategic regulatory projects, support regional rollout of policies and procedures.
- Help develop a regulatory compliance culture through training by delivering regulatory-related training to business units
- Assisting with maintaining overall compliance with the requirements and obligations prescribed by the local authorities & regulators
Requirements
- Proven interest and/or experience in the fintech sector
- Minimum of 7 years experience in a risk, fraud, compliance, AML or regulatory function, experience working with any regulated financial services business in legal or compliance roles preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global organization maintaining close contact with relevant teams across multiple locations
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to provide useful and efficient counsel
- Good understanding in performing risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews and enhanced due diligence
- Proactive, diligent team player
