Coin Metrics is hiring a Web3 RISK MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE LEAD

YOUR PURPOSE
The Risk Management & Compliance Lead will ensure that Coin Metrics remains in good standing with respect to our SOC 2 audits, owning any future audit pursuits. As such, you will be ensuring that our team is compliant with all current policies and procedures as well as helping to develop new policies and procedures as appropriate. You will work closely with management to identify technical and operational risks and apply timely measures to mitigate these risks, safeguarding the organization’s reputation.
YOUR VALUE
- Developing internal company policies & procedures and controls with guidance and collaboration from our external auditors
- Managing our external audit relationships
- Managing the SOC readiness and attestation by working with external auditors and liaising with internal teams
- Ensuring the organization updates company policies and controls as the business evolves and expands
- Reporting to Coin Metrics management concerning the organization's compliance with policies and procedures
- Chairing the SOC Oversight Committee
- Communicating with employees to ensure awareness of their responsibilities with respect to compliance with policies and procedures (including instituting proper training where required)
- Consulting with teams to help them identify and mitigate risk
- Conducting regular internal audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations
- Taking action in dealing with noncompliance situations
- Maintaining and monitoring our Risk Register
YOUR EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE
- Risk assessment skills, specifically as they relate to our operational and technical environments
- Good understanding of the requirements of a SOC attestation and a sense for how to evaluate infrastructure and technical environments vis-à-vis those requirements
- Communication skills to ensure all employees understand policies, how to address gaps, and how to remain compliant
- Attention to detail so that no policies or controls are overlooked
- Problem-solving skills, as many compliance issues have no straightforward solution
- A bachelor’s degree in business management, law, finance, business administration or other related field
- Five to ten years of related experience in roles with exposure to managing risks and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
