About the role
The professional will use their business and risk knowledge coupled with a hands-on approach.They will both support and own some of the risk activities needed in the Crypto & Digital Assets business, particularly focusing on internal and external audit for companies subject to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. They will also work with the business teams to mitigate identified risks accordingly, helping them drafting and executing the action plan, as well as following up to make sure the issues were solved in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a senior consultant in the internal audit/risk advisory department of a Big 4 firm. Fluent English is mandatory, with Spanish proficiency being desirable. Additionally, while prior work experience in the crypto space is not required, the candidate must be a crypto enthusiast with a familiarity with cryptocurrencies trading, custody, taxation, and regulation.

As a SOX & Internal Controls Specialist You Will:
- Support/coordinate the business in managing and fulfilling its First Line Risk Management activities;
- Proactively identify risk areas and tackle relevant remediation activities;
- Create appropriate governance to facilitate the implementation, execution, and monitoring of controls;
- Define and rate the risk environment;
- Challenge the design and implementation of controls, implement and own relevant new controls;
- Create appropriate reports for the leadership team to understand the full spectrum of risks;
- Add a risk lens to strategy and product development;
- Drive and complete documentation activities to minimize single point sensitivities;
- Conduct process mapping;
- Coordinate audit actions and review/challenge both audit and the business.
