Web3 Technical Director, Platform

Myria is an Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution, built to bring digital assets, NFTs and blockchain gaming to life. Our mission is to empower digital asset ownership for people and businesses. We are looking for a technical visionary to lead and drive the creation of our vertical B2B solution, which will provide game and blockchain backend services for third party content providers and external studio partners to easily and painlessly onramp into the Web3 space. Think: Playfab-meets-ImmutableX.The platform will consist of SDKs supporting multiple game development engines and environments, as well as a rich suite of web-based tools and a-la-carte services which provide functionality from economy management to analytics to storage solutions, and more.

In addition, this role will drive the creation of our consumer-facing Dapps, which will allow Myria ecosystem participants (studios, players, creators, traders) to interact with Myria’s L2 scaling solution: to launch, buy and sell NFTs, to manage in-game assets, to trade tokens, and more. These applications will interact with the L2 through a suite of developer tools created in-house as part of Myria Core and will be important for providing critical feedback for those teams.

Responsibilities

• Determine product and feature roadmap for game-focused B2B blockchain platform based on the needs of external partners as well as internal stakeholders

• Work directly with Product-team executives to determine roadmap for blockchain-focused web applications based on the needs of external customers as well as internal stakeholders

• Architect and design large-scale Web Application infrastructure from functional as well as structural perspective

• Architect and design B2B platform infrastructure from functional as well as structural perspective

• Determine staffing needs and drive hiring process to build platform team

• Work with product manager to oversee the planning, prioritisation, design, creation/implementation of technologies required to implement all features

• Ensure code quality and reliability by implementing robust coding standards, peer review, submission processes and deployment strategies

• Work closely with other product/project management to ensure that feature releases are coordinated according to current needs

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading teams to build SaaS / PaaS / BaaS products

• Rich experience developing visually engaging and flow-friction user experiences (web applications, plugins, etc)

• Experience managing multiple functional groups simultaneously

• Solid experience live-operating above live products, managing ongoing feature development, all with high reliability and security

• Extensive development experience with web-based technologies, both frontend and backend

• Deep understanding of platform/infrastructure architecture

• Rich experience in achieving high scalability and performance

• Able to assimilate the entirety of the current product needs as well as anticipate possible future direction and plan accordingly

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to create technical design documents, architecture diagrams, data flow graphs, etc

• Desirable requirements: Experience working with game-related products, which will facilitate ability to design for/anticipate needs of our partners and knowledge of blockchain technology
