Parity Technologies is hiring a Web3 Technical Program Manager - Common Good
Compensation: $63k - $70k estimated

What you will do
We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the Common Good/System Parachains team. The Program Manager will be embedded in the team and will aid engineers in the process of developing and maintaining parachains coordinating with other core and ecosystem teams. This position will require a strategic, technically-minded approach to improve coordination and execution of existing as well as guiding creation of new roadmaps.
Due to Parity’s unique open-source culture, the ideal candidate will be more of a negotiator and mediator than a top-down strategist.
Responsibilities
- Help define, implement and drive the Common Good/System parachains roadmap, workflows and plans, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, identifying resource constraints and any other issues that arise.
- Identify and document all project milestones and deliverables and keep project plans up to date at all times.
- Help design quality and automation procedures, and deliver monitoring and data visibility tools to ensure the highest standard of reliability, stability and accuracy.
- Work with other Parity departments to support teams building in the ecosystem with business development, market research, and marketing & communication-related activities.
- Working with web3 foundation and ecosystem teams in collecting users needs and preferences in using these parachains and working the feedback into the roadmap.
Requirements
- Education in STEM, 2-5 years technical program/product management experience in the fast paced, high fluid environments.
- Experience and knowledge of open source software products developing practices.
- Strong technical understanding of blockchain technologies and ecosystems, and passionate about the vision for Web3.
- Excellent understanding of GitHub workflows, PRs, issue tracking and milestones.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to speak to both business development and technical teams internally and externally.
- Strong organizational skills, along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet needs.
Nice-to Have
- Knowledge of or experience with Parity-related projects: Polkadot, Substrate, libp2p, ink!, wasmi, etc.
- Familiarity with our technical languages and their respective communities: primarily Rust and Javascript.
- Former work experience with large-scale open source projects.
