Web3 Trading Execution Director

We are looking for a Director to join our team charged with supporting execution of liquidity, trading and market risk processes for Ripple. You will own the iterative processes to compile, share and implement Ripple strategies pertaining to open market operations, liquidity partners management and actionable market metrics. Technology will be a core point of focus; relevant initiatives will require efficient cross-functional support for design and execution. Your drive, obsessive execution focus and hands-on experience will allow you to coordinate inputs and effort from strategic ideation to best-in-class cloud-native processes. Ideal candidates will have a track record of product leadership and technical excellence in designing and delivering reliable  solutions in the financial space, preferably around trading and microstructure. You will be a hands-on leader, setting the right priorities together with a diverse set of stakeholders, championing technical direction and delivering results in an incremental manner towards a resolute strategic direction. You must be passionate about strategy execution, market and pricing challenges, operational excellence and bleeding edge high-volume/low-latency systems; More importantly, you need to be able to build and maintain a collective strategic vision across departments, and across a diverse set of strategic angles.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Own the processes pertaining to strategic vision and assorted operational plan for the Markets Team 
• Own execution support and oversight of the Markets Team roadmap while driving technical and operational excellence across our data, engineering and quantitative trading resources
• Leverage process ownership and deep experience to be both a core contributor to teams responsible for business outcomes and technological innovation
• Champion and guide the professional and technical development of your team, both your direct reports and the broader org; Be a credible technological sounding board
• Instill a spirit of continuous improvement in the team’s inventions and processes to get Markets Team to best-in-class

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Degree in computer science or other quantitative field; masters or PhD preferred
• 12+ years of experience in software development, ideally with some product management experience
• 7+ years of experience managing engineering teams; 
• 7+ years of experience in financial markets, ideally with strong risk management or trading angle
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through experience working with technical and non-technical teams
• Thrive on autonomy and responsibility
• Track record of recruiting and mentoring world-class teams
