Web3 Treasurer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States

Blockdaemon is looking for a Treasurer to join our rapidly growing team. The Treasurer will be responsible for overall cash, debt and investment management. Cryptocurrency and/or blockchain experience is a MUST!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and leads strategies, operations, policies and budges relating to treasury activities including token holdings, custody solutions, and trading
  • Advises capital markets, borrowing, investing, foreign exchange, treasury operations, financial risk management and corporate finance initiatives
  • Supervises the maintenance of internal controls designed to safeguard corporate assets and the integrity of its fiscal systems
  • Ensures compliance with GAAP, SEC, FASB, SOX and other regulatory requirements
  • Develops financial forecasts and monitors financial health, monitoring guardrails around financial commitments
  • Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization (i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and/or mergers and pension funds and investments)
  • Leads treasury function, including meeting short and long-term funding needs
  • Handles aspects of risk through accounting, audit, planning and treasury functions
  • Interact with Director of Security on token custody strategy and best practices

Skills and Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Management or Finance
  • 7-10 years of experience in finance and treasury
  • SaaS/startup experience is a BIG PLUS!
  • CPA and/or CTP preferred
  • FP&A certification preferred
  • Strong analytical skills - experience in Excel and SQL
  • Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of the current crypto and/or blockchain landscape plus experience with custody of cryptocurrencies
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • Strong experience working on multiple assignments at once, while maintaining project deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work in a fast paced environment
