The role

We're looking for a talented senior engineer to join our backend development team. Our backend consists mostly of Java micro-services and a serverless data processing pipeline in Node.js. Our infrastructure runs on AWS (Docker/Beanstalk), deployed and maintained with Terraform.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a software engineer developing cloud-native solutions
• Strong computer science, security and networking fundamentals

You'll have expert knowledge of: * Java (Spring Boot, J2EE) and Javascript (Node.js) * Database design (Postgres) and data processing (queues, caches) * API design, management and security * Functional programming and building serverless systems (AWS Lambda) * Unit and integration testing to deliver high quality code * Deploying, monitoring and scaling apps in a production environment

We're also looking for experience with: * Ethereum blockchain * Big Data & Data Engineering experience (Spark/EMR/Kinesis) * Open source software and contributions
