About This Role
The team at END-Labs is looking for a Credit Data Associate who will be a key supporting member of the Capital Markets team. The END-Labs Capital Markets team underwrites and analyzes various secured credit transactions with the same level of detail and granularity as a traditional private credit investment fund, with the key differentiating factor being that the capital delivery mechanism can be on-chain and sourced through DeFi.
A successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and adept at interfacing with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. This role will report to the Head of Capital Markets.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Build and run deal and collateral cash flow models
- Compile the results of the team’s analysis into investment committee memos
- Act as the primary point of contact for loan originators and issuers to obtain Investor Decks, data tapes, and other deal team needs
- Review legal documentation with the deal team and counsel
- Proactive surveillance and management of the various credit facilities by tracking the facility's borrowing bases, credit line triggers and covenants compliance, borrower performance, company management and strategy, and other relevant factors.
- Maintain and establish active relationships with key players in the securitization, specialty finance, private credit, and DeFi industries
- Educate non-capital markets stakeholders (both internal and external) on the processes involved in the securitization and specialty finance industry
- Provide support and updates related to the securitization and specialty finance capital markets to potential clients, investors, and internal stakeholders
- Originate investment opportunities that fit the team’s strategy as well as the overall company’s roadmap
- Tracking and monitoring the team’s P&L and reconciling the results with the internal finance teams
- Analyzing various DeFi protocols, and participating in the relevant DeFi DAO communities
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or CFA preferred
- 2+ years of technical experience working with one or more of the following:
- Bespoke asset-based lending facilities (revolving warehouse lines, term loans, etc)
- Term securitizations of various asset classes, including knowledge of rating agency criteria and regulations and working with securitization deal cash flow models
- Private credit, direct lending, or specialty finance loan origination, analysis, and surveillance
- Whole loan transactions
- Experience reviewing/interpreting/drafting credit agreements, loan security agreements, participation agreements, term sheets, and other legal deal documents
- Securitization deal cashflow/waterfall and collateral cashflow modeling experience
- Advanced Excel experience, specifically in working with, and managing large data sets required, VBA/programming and database/SQL skills a plus
- A working knowledge of using IntexCalc, DV01, and other securitization cash flow engines
- Strong interest and/or curiosity in DeFi, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and blockchain
