Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Associate to join our Operating Team. Our Legal Associate will help ensure efficiency in the execution of all things related to legal processes, investments, and firm operations. Our ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, with the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with investing team and internal & external counsel to review and execute documents
• Help prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with third-party corporate service providers
• Help with and advise on legal, compliance, and regulatory matters pertaining to digital assets
• Open accounts with vendors and partners such as trading institutions, OTC desks, etc.
• Coordinate internal director and officer signatures on various filings, agreements, and other documents
• Build out and maintain document warehouse organizing documentation related to firm structure, investments, and partnerships
• Assist with finance and human resources matters where needed
• Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of other legal matters

Required:

• 2-4 years of experience, either at a major law firm or in-house
• Exceptional professional judgment, ideally exercised in a startup environment
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects
• Strong people skills, with a focus on collaboration and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Highest level of accuracy, superb attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
• Local to the NY or Boston area

Preferred:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and DocuSign
