Instnt is seeking a Platform Architect. Reporting directly to the VP, Engineering, the Platform Architect will work on a cutting edge, industry-leading product in order to deliver new features and customer value propositions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take high level business requirements and create functional and technical specifications, breaking down the requirements into epics and stories
• Design, code new features, while debugging as necessary
• Write clean Python and Django code to develop functional web APIs
• Design API and SDK interfaces, product modules taking queue from business requirement and domain taxonomy
• Review and validate the low level design and implementation done by team members
• Guide team members on good design and coding principles

Technical Skills Required:

• In depth understanding on AWS technologies including API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, IAM, Cognito
• Deep understanding of AWS serverless architecture and scaling a serverless SAAS product
• Sound understanding of AWS infrastructure, NAT, VPC, Cloudfront, Availability Zones
• API development and support: REST, CORS, Swagger, OpenAPI, API versioning, Webhooks, Websocket
• Strong experience with Python and Django, Django REST, Django ORM, experience of developing and using Django middlewares
• Hands on experience working in blockchain or related technologies
• Solid application security fundamentals including but not limited to OWASP, NIST, Public key infrastructure and trusted authority
• API security, authentication, authorization best practices
• SQL, caching, performance tuning
• Experience with Docker and related container technologies
• Good understanding of CI/CD, code and data pipelines
• Understanding of cost of software development, infrastructure, build vs buy
• Deep understanding of SAAS products, multi tenancy
• Proficient with concepts like domain driven design, bounded context, architecture characteristics like reliability, scalability, availability, elasticity, maintainability etc
• Good understanding of CAP theorem - Consistency, availability, partition tolerance, ACID vs BASE,
• Ability to move fast while maintaining quality

Additional Qualifications:

• 10 years experience in a similar role
• Ability to work with a team of varied experience and skill set
• Frontend experience in React/Angular, iOS, Android
• Experience is library development (javascript, iOS, Android)
• Exposure to Decentralized identify, Hyperledger frameworks and projects
• Ability to create and maintain technical roadmaps
• Exposure to different testing strategies like penetration testing, load testing, stress testing, Chaos Engineering
• Understanding of Software Metrics, Dashboards, Alarms etc
• Exposure to Data Science and Machine learning
• Exposure to Data Analytics, noSQL database, Data Warehouse and Data Lakes, sharding, hashing
• Experience working in a start-up organization is preferred but not required
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly
