JKBX (Jukebox) | United States | $110k - $165k |
This is an opportunity to be an early part of building JKBX (pronounced "Jukebox"), the premiere royalties technology platform built to expand opportunities for artists, fans, and investors by revolutionizing the ownership of music royalty streams. We're well-funded, have an exceptional leadership team in place, and are now designing and building out the platform ahead of our 2023 launch. Some facts about us since we just left stealth:
With billions in exclusive catalog rights ready to bring to market, JKBX unlocks the value in this economy by securitizing and fractionalizing royalty streams and allowing them to be traded in a secure and regulated ecosystem.
- All other music fractionalization platforms combined equal 0.5 percent of what JKBX will go to market with and offer consumers the first day it launches.
- The catalog will consist of older and current songs from chart-topping artists.
- The business of song royalties has historically been accessible to the wealthy few who could afford it, and JKBX is slated to make this elusive part of the music business available to music fans and retail investors around the world.
- The team is hiring for the frontend and backend engineering teams that will be integral in working with our team leads and the CTO to help us design and build a fast, secure, and scalable platform for rapid growth.
We'd like you to:
- Possess roughly 2-5 years of professional development experience (salary and leveling will be dependent on experience)
- Worked on and contributed to scalable, secure systems in the cloud
- Have significant experience with some or all of the following technologies: Python, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Postgres, AWS (for backend); Typescript, NextJS, React, React Native, TailwindCSS, Storybook (for frontend)
It'd be nice if you:
- Have early-stage startup experience, building something from 0-1, contributing to the decision-making behind technology and architecture choices
- Understand financial markets and the associated regulatory framework, especially the security and privacy needs thereof
- Are interested in using web3 technologies to solve user problems and unlock new value, especially if you've written Solidity code to do just that
- Love the music industry and are excited about revolutionizing the royalties space at scale
