The Role
The MobileCoin’s Merchant Services team identifies and delivers products and services that help businesses and individuals to incorporate MOB as a payment method. Our unique business offering leverages the low-cost, fast, and private payments of MobileCoin. Merchant Services maximizes Trust and Convenience for stores and their customers.
The Merchant Services team seeks a Product Manager to drive product innovation and oversee development. This Product Manager’s role is to identify the most advantageous merchant product offering with the most optimum path from idea to launch. These products must be desirable to the end-user, intuitive, beneficial for all parties, and increase revenue growth attributable to MobileCoin. This role requires understanding of Revenue Strategy, Monetization, Commerce, and B2B Business Models.
The Product Manager will define the strategy and initiatives for Merchant Services. They will formulate the roadmap and oversee deliverables for cross-functional teams. Over time, this role will evolve from IC to group management to primarily strategic direction and execution.
Responsibilities
- Drive the product definition, strategy, and long-term vision for Merchant Services.
- Rally a cross-functional team of engineering, research, data science, operations, marketing, local markets, and more.
- Identify the biggest problems to solve. Drive new feature development from start to finish.
- Build, measure, and iterate rapidly. Create a platform that enables ongoing optimization.
- Consistently integrate behavioral data, financial results, and customer feedback into key product decisions.
- Partner closely with Design to deliver world-class experiences in any product be it an API doc, digital wallet, or merchant portal.
- Partner closely with Business Development and Marketing to align initiatives with market research.
- Communicate product plans, benefits, and results to all audiences:internal teams, company leadership, end users, external partners, etc.
- Prioritize work for your team, making difficult tradeoffs on design based on business constraints, ensuring on-time deliverables and high-quality software.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring decisions, on-boarding, and mentoring new team members as we scale to make them productive members of your team quickly.
- Develop a team culture of ownership, teamwork, and empathy that reinforces the core values of MobileCoin.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ownership of ideation and execution of product-driven strategy for B2B products.
- 7+ years of leadership experience with managing cross-functional teams
- 3+ years of managing B2B products
- Experience with delivering APIs and documentation as a product
- Strong business background as demonstrated by an MBA or equivalent experience
- Ability to build and guide successful teams without direct management
- Extensive experience developing roadmaps and strategic plans as well as providing execution details through product specifications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate & communicate with a wide range of teams and members from every function and at every level
Nice to Have
- Computer Science background or equivalent technical experience
- Existing, extensive professional relationships in the merchant services and/or cryptocurrency industries
- Short lists of cross-functional teams to recruit and acquire to rapidly build the Merchant Services team -- specifically engineering

Location
- The office is based out of San Francisco, but remote candidates will be considered.
