We are looking for an experienced Game Designer to work on new exciting game ideas. The ideal candidate is a jack of all trades, familiar with all the steps and aspects of the game production. We are looking for a person who can come up with creative ideas, facilitate the execution of those together with the development team and follow up with monitoring the production in order to meet the quality standards. The candidate needs strong communication skills (both verbal and written) for presenting and discussing their designs. The candidate should be able to prioritize feedback from multiple sources and incorporate it into revised game content and systems. You are the creative product owner of the game.

Responsibilities

  • Benchmark & Research - Be able to create extensive benchmarks and market research about new ideas;
  • Creative Guru - Come up with original and creative ideas for games and features;
  • Avid Executioner - Delivers features based on the game vision as set by the Lead Designer and Product Owners;
  • System Master - Craft a consistent system design with a solid core loop;
  • Meta Designer - Understand and design the required meta systems of the gameplay;
  • Scale it up - Make sure that the game design can scale according to the business goals of the project;
  • Full Vertical - Conceive every element of the game including rules, setting, objects, vehicles, weapons, flora, fauna, etc.;
  • UX Proficiency- Supports the UI team with UX mock-ups and optimizes the user journey and flow ergonomy;
  • Librarian - Generate with due diligence the Game Design Documentation according to the audience and utility - HLDs and presentations for management and more technical GDDs for the Developers and QA teams;
  • All-seeing Eye - Make sure the game is prepared for detailed data collection and performance monitoring and work with BI team to analyze and identify anomalies addressing those with the corresponding design decisions. Optimize, iterate, and tune features and content accordingly;
  • AAA - Works with the development team to ensure content and features are delivered to the highest quality;
  • Up-to-Date - Stays up to date by researching market titles; sharing knowledge of useful designs and experiences with teammates;
  • Just do it - Be proactive about solving issues and overcoming obstacles;

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 4+ years in the game industry as a Game Designer;
  • Mandatory - Excellent English both written and verbal and general communication skills with the ability to pitch complex ideas to a non-design audience;
  • Mandatory - Proactive and results-driven problem solver who is self-motivated and disciplined. Takes accountability and ownership of designs from start to finish;
  • Mandatory - Timezone convenient for working with Europe/Asia ;
  • Experience with mid-core and hard-core design systems;
  • Solid understanding of art and production pipelines, understanding the software and systems that bring the game to life;
  • Experience with F2P is a plus;
  • Experience with Action & RPG games is a plus;
  • Experience with Unity is a plus;
  • Experience with Google Apps, Atlassian (Confluence, JIRA);
  • High-level artistic skills are a plus - proportion, color, composition;
  • Understanding of game metrics and how to translate those into design solutions;
