About

We’re buildingOmni: a platform allowing developers to deploy applications across all rollups without fragmenting liquidity. We’re looking for early team members to help us bring this ambitious vision to life.
We’re a team who already built a platform that processed over $70M leading to our $18M fundraise from top investors including Pantera, Two Sigma Ventures, Coinbase Ventures alongside angel investors including Stani Kulechov (founder of Aave), Sandeep Nailwal (cofounder of Polygon) and more. In addition to this we have over $4B deposited to secure Omni on mainnet.

We are growing rapidly and we need ambitious and experienced team members to join us to help scale Ethereum's future.

About the role

We are looking for ambitious engineers who are are deeply excited about the promise that crypto technologies present for empowering individuals across the world with greater freedoms. These team members will primarily build protocols across both the smart contract and core node layers of the Omni Network software stack in Solidity and Golang. We are not requiring prior experience in Solidity and Golang for this role, but we are seeking outlier engineers who can rapidly pick up new languages and frameworks to apply a well honed problem solving mindset developed over their prior years of engineering experience to this new domain.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your fellow team members to architect 0 to 1 innovations that solve key engineering problems facing the crypto industry.
  • Expand the core network functionality implemented in Golang and subsequently expose interfaces for interacting with these methods in Solidity.
  • Write Solidity smart contracts libraries for improving the developer experience of building applications on Omni.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience shipping large scale, data intensive production software across multiple languages with a preference for Golang and Typescript.
  • Collaborate with other protocol engineers to improve one another’s architectures and implementations.
  • Curious and eager to learn new technologies and design patterns.
  • Location:Must be in the New York (EST) or Europe (CET) time zones.
  • Overlap hours:Available daily from 9 AM to 12 PM EST for team collaboration.

Competencies

  • Autonomous — specifically seeks to take greater ownership and responsibility and thrives in their personal growth by doing so
  • Action oriented — we are looking for people who take action by default, consistently driving forward progress without asking for permission
  • An engineer in both thought and implementation — they must be able to design architecture and see it through to implementation
  • Adaptable — thrives in ambiguity, able to quickly iterate and push forward as the business dynamically expands
  • Highly intelligent — learns quickly and can participate in abstract intellectually engaging conversations
  • Effective communicator — clearly articulates ideas and engages in debates in a productive manner that leads us to making better decisions

Nice to Haves

  • Previously worked at a startup of 10-20 people or less.

Benefits

Our benefits include competitive compensation, token packages for all employees, regular team off-sites around the world and unlimited PTO. In addition, you'll join a team of high-caliber people innovating at the frontier of crypto that work collaboratively to help one another accelerate their personal growth.
