Experience in these critical areas will set you up for success in this role.

o   Deeply understand problems (i.e., empathize with our community) in order to identify the right technical solutions

o   Seek to make experiences lightweight, fast, and dead simple to use

o   Establish Real Vision's direction for:

§  Mobile engineering -- including native app development (iOS, Android, AppleTV, etc.)

§  Web client technologies and server-side engineering incorporating the best of Web 2 and Web 3

§  Foundational systems including deployments, pipelines, databases (SQL, noSQL, and Vector Databases, machine learning, and LLMs

o   Promote practices to ship minimal awesome products frequently so we can test, learn, and iterate faster

o   Understand how the latest technology trends, frameworks, programming standards, etc. may impact our road map

o   Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory, governance, and cybersecurity standards

o   Influence outcomes throughout Real Vision by developing relationships and becoming a trusted thought partner

o   Empower teams to think big in order to create amazing experiences for our community (i.e., "nothing is impossible")

o   Pour fuel on sparks of imagination to show what's possible -- not kill ideas before they have a chance to surface

o   Uncover opportunities for positive organizational change that also align with the culture and values of Real Vision

o   Lead by example to set the tone for others -- frequently providing guidance outside formal reporting structures

o   Lead the entire engineering org across Software Engineering, DevOps, QA, Data Arch & Eng, IT, Security, Web3, and AI

o   Develop team members, support their well-being, and create an environment where they can deliver innovative work

o   Instill and promote a culture of learning and development within the entire engineering team

o   Help define our engineering recruitment strategy and then own it with support from Operations

o   Partner with CXO and Operations to define paths/levels to develop a diverse engineering org with strong leadership and a deep bench

o   Effectively resolve any performance issues with compassion

o   Help define and then own all engineering work streams on Real Vision's platform roadmap

o   Lead teams in developing high-quality products as well as the supporting infrastructure required to deliver them at scale

o   Deliver well-scoped work plans that meet member needs and business goals -- balancing quality, time, and cost

o   Play a hands-on role in managing major company launches

o   Establish escalation workflows to address critical technical issues related to campaign launches, events, etc.
