Cryspen is hiring a Working Student - Software & Crypto Engineering
Compensation: $28k - $48k
Location: remote
Cryspen is looking for a working student - Software and Crypto Engineering, to help us build and maintain high-assurance cryptographic software.
You will be responsible for maintaining and extending cryptographic software solutions, mostly written in low-level Rust, with a focus on performance and safety. You will work closely with our experienced team of software and verification engineers, and cryptographers. You will collaborate with team members to design, develop, and test software components, and contribute to the overall development process.
Cryspen is doing most of its work in the open and is committed to open source. Experience working on open-source projects is greatly appreciated, but not necessary.
Tasks
- Participate in the high-assurance software development process including design, coding, testing, benchmarking, and documentation.
- Provide support in resolving software defects and issues.
- Contribute to debugging and troubleshooting efforts.
- Help to develop and maintain software solutions using low-level Rust.
Requirements
- Enrolled as a student at a German University.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in C, C++, or Rust.
- Comfortable reading low-level code and working on safety-critical code.
- Familiarity with software development practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing.
