Web3 Associate - Corporate Development & Strategy

BlockFi is looking for an Associate of Corporate Development & Strategy to join our growing team!

About Your Team

As an Associate on the Corporate Development & Strategy team, you will work cross-functionally with leaders across the organization and serve key roles in driving financial modeling, developing business strategies that optimally allocate capital, inorganic growth, investing in early stage businesses, and supporting fundraising efforts. Your Mission

• Develop a deep understanding of BlockFi’s businesses, their key drivers and roadmaps to enhance decision making on key initiatives
• Drive financial modeling, scenario modeling and presentations for BlockFi to support senior management and board meetings, fundraising, regulatory and capital markets efforts
• Participate in M&A and venture investments including preparing investment theses, diligence plans, IC recommendations, and reporting
• Develop due diligence processes and develop familiarity with deal documentation
• Serve as an all-rounder for ad-hoc analyses/recommendations and market updates, proactively and in response to senior management needs

Your Expertise

• At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, growth/private equity, strategic finance in a company, or similar
• Ability to go beyond the data and understand the “so what”, to translate findings into key insights and actionable recommendations
• Ability to step up and independently manage work from end to end
• Strong teammate that works well with various functions across the organization
• Intellectual curiosity, and desire for personal and professional improvement
• Passion and knowledge of fintech and/or crypto is a plus
