Web3 Business Continuity Manager

We’re currently looking to hire an experienced Business Continuity Manager based in the Sioux Falls area who has a strong background within business continuity & disaster recovery management. This is a great opportunity to occupy a highly collaborative/cross-functional role where you’ll be able to apply your expertise within the aforementioned categories of enterprise risk management. Per the location of this position, we’re looking for candidates who are either in Palo Alto/Bay Area, New York City, or Sioux Falls.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead the Business Continuity Manager within our Risk team by implementing and continually updating/maintaining governance surrounding BitGo’s BCP program
  • Serve as an internal SME on BCP/Disaster Recovery by working as an effective cross-functional leader with team members from other departments such as Compliance, Info. Security, Legal Operations, Trust Operations, etc.
  • Oversee, review, and challenge Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management Plans of business areas and support functions
  • Oversee Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery tests
  • Plan and execute Crisis Management exercises
  • Coordinate with BitGo’s Incident Response and Disaster Recovery Teams to ensure organizational consistency and operation in line with documented plans
  • Work with our Enterprise Risk Management team/leaders to help identify and correlate risks that directly impact business continuity
  • Maintain proper documentation/record logs of all BCP/Disaster Recovery related initiatives
  • Create and present reports to BitGo’s executive leadership team on the status/progress of our BCP program
  • Exemplify a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant BCP/Disaster Recovery Mgmt. experience

  • Strong problem-solving, investigative, and analytical skills, with aptitude for discriminating between useful and less useful details.
  • Action and results oriented; ability to drive results, effect change, and have a positive impact on the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage through ambiguous situations, with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of risk management and control frameworks (e.g. COSO, ISO 31000)
  • Knowledge of of information security and privacy standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001/27701, NIST, FFIEC, CCPA, EU GDPR)
  • High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance
  • Ability to interface with top management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • A college degree in business, public policy, or a technical field. (BA/BS)
  • You are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies
