Overview

Business Development Representative - Inside Sales will work closely with their outside sales counterpart to strategically build pipeline. An ideal candidate will have experience cold calling, running email campaigns, attending events, and converting prospects to qualified opportunities. This role will focus largely on generating new business but will have the opportunity to close deals as a team with their sales counterparts.

  • Will design, implement and leverage successful email marketing campaigns to partners and prospects.
  • Is willing to travel to events across the US and Canada. Travel up to 10% may be required as part of the role.
  • Is energized by working in a fast-paced, collaborative culture where intellectual rigor and insatiable curiosity is rewarded.
  • Is coachable, outgoing and is excited by working in a team towards a shared goal.
  • Is intrigued by financial crime, cryptocurrencies, and how they connect to FIAT payments.
  • This is an individual contributor role and can be based anywhere in the US.

Role

The ideal candidate should be a passionate, self-motivated, team player with experience working in a quickly evolving environment and a who has a willingness to work and learn in a collaborative organization.

To be successful, the Business Development Representative - Inside Sales will:
  • Work closely with their CipherTrace and Mastercard Sales Teams to develop and execute Strategic Account Plans for key prospects.
  • Work with their sales team to meet lead generation goals, such as qualifying leads and booking meetings; role may potentially include running small deals from start to finish.
  • Be innovative with prospecting through direct outreach via phone, email, and social media.
  • Design and execute custom webinars, mailers, and events with the help of sales and marketing.
  • Maintain a holistic and technical understanding of CipherTrace products and how they enable our clients to investigate, monitor, and/or mitigate blockchain and Crypto AML risk in collaboration with partners as well as within the Mastercard ecosystem.
  • Professionally interact with prospects to schedule meetings for your sales team, and be able to report those opportunities to management regularly.
  • Develop and manage customers and prospects through consistent communication, discovery, and education.

About You
  • Experience in a customer facing role in the technology, cyber security, financial, or crypto industries.
  • Experience maintaining CRM records, reporting, and forecasting accurately. Experience with Hubspot is a plus.
  • Articulate, enthusiastic, and effective communicator who can convey complex concepts in an approachable and concise way to potential customers.
  • BA/BS degree is required.
