Founding Business Development Lead (Remote)


As our first Business Development hire, you will lead partnerships at Rift.


We’re looking for someone who’s hungry to own the entire customer integration lifecycle: from sourcing a pipeline, to building relationships and supporting once they’re live. You will work directly with the CEO to strategize and close deals, and be the primary company representative for the majority of interactions. You will have a huge amount of autonomy while steering crypto’s next unicorn to its potential. We are building a $1B+ protocol while keeping the team extremely lean (<10), so you will have significant upside as we grow.


You must be elite at:

  • Being a charismatic, high energy representative of the company for 20+ external calls/meetings per week
  • Building relationships with decision makers at DeFi and TradFi companies
  • Explaining a protocol’s unique benefits vs competitors simply
  • Maximizing your productivity with the latest AI tools

Bonus points if you’re:

  • Crypto native - self custody crypto and regularly use popular protocols
  • A high school or college dropout
  • The most locked in person you know

A bit about Rift:

Today over 90% of crypto is traded on centralized exchanges ($12T/yr in spot). This is because assets users want to trade are fragmented across chains, making it impossible to do without middlemen. The protocols that attempt to solve this today have much worse rates, swap amounts, asset selection, and UX compared to their centralized alternatives.


We solved this by creating a multichain trading protocol that allows for trading native assets in size, with verifiably lowest price execution. This is possible with a new primitive: multichain smart contracts (protocol nodes run inside TEEs), unlocking previously impossible onchain actions which we’re just scratching the surface of.


We recently raised a seed round from the top fund in crypto (Paradigm), are live on Ethereum and Base with the best rate BTC trading, and just went live with our first integrators. We are expanding to every major chain in the coming weeks.

What does a sales in web3 do?

As a sales in the field of web3, the individual would be responsible for selling web3 products and services to clients

This would involve identifying potential clients, building relationships with them, and presenting the benefits of the web3 products and services in a way that is compelling and relevant to the client's needs

The salesperson would also be responsible for negotiating contracts and pricing with clients, as well as providing support and guidance throughout the sales process

Additionally, the salesperson may be involved in developing sales strategies and tactics, and tracking and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Overall, the main responsibility of a salesperson in the web3 field is to drive sales and revenue for the company.
