Web3 Compliance Officer

We are in the process of obtaining our MiCA licence in Ireland and as part of this expansion, we plan to hire a Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Liaison: Act as the secondary contact for the Central Bank of Ireland and other regulatory bodies, co-ordinating regulatory responses, managing and recording interactions.

• AML/CTF: Act as Deputy MLRO for the Firm by assisting with client onboarding, performing reviews and escalating SARS/STRs to the MLRO accordingly.

• Policy & Procedure Development: Draft, review, and implement compliance-related policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and internal standards.

• Monitoring & Risk Assessment: Assist with compliance monitoring, identify issues and perform impact assessments on new legislation to manage risks and close compliance gaps.

• Reporting: Assist with the preparation of regular compliance reports to Senior Management and the Board, ensuring the company operates within its legal and regulatory framework.

• Regulatory Reporting: Collate data and complete non-financial regulatory returns, where appropriate.

• Governance Support: Support Key Governance Processes i.e. Fitness & Probity Regime, IAF & SEAR. *Third-party risk management: Oversee compliance related third party and vendor relationships.

Your Profile:

• A relevant third-level qualification in a business or legal-related field. The Professional Diploma in Compliance (LCI), accredited by the Institute of Banking (IOB) and the Compliance Institute, or willingness to complete same is desirable.

• Experience in Client Onboarding, AML/CTF Due Diligence Reviews and Transaction Monitoring.

• Experience in horizon scanning, compliance advisory work.

• General Compliance Experience in drafting and review of policies and procedures.
