The Compliance-Quality Control Manager’s responsibilities will include performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over compliance operations’ effectiveness in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations. This is a Manager or Senior Manager level role commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior oversight of Compliance Operations Quality Control, senior point of escalation for the team and its stakeholders and represent the Quality Control function in senior management discussions and key stakeholder meeting across the business.
- Serve as key contributor to Compliance strategy, including issues related to people, processes, and training.
- Ensure effective governance of tasks and processes with reference to internal policy and external regulation regarding AML, Sanctions, and Fraud.
- Partner with Compliance teams to interpret and implement new Compliance policies and work toward developing consistent processes and practices.
- Assist in developing the ongoing Compliance training plan to develop and enhance staff knowledge of business and product.
- Manage and assess impact of operational implementation of technology and policy change and drive continuous improvements to quality of compliance operations.
- Receive and incorporate feedback from Internal Audit regarding independent quality reviews and assessments.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Ability to manage teams.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of direct compliance experience required
- CFCS, CFE, CAMS, or equivalent certification (at least 1) required
- Familiarity with a broad range of compliance functions, and specific expertise in AML
- Ability to assess quality of work within the framework of larger regulatory requirements as well as Bittrex’s policies and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and dedication to quality assurance to ensure the reporting of accurate data, while regularly monitoring said data to update shared information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment and meet set deadlines
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Understanding and adherence to the highest level of discreteness and confidentiality regarding all aspects of his or her work and knowledge of the company
- College degree is required

- previous financial industry experience or exposure to financial industry compliance processes and protocols (internships, specialized training)
