Ava Labs is hiring a Web3 Core SDK Engineer
Compensation: $54k - $76k estimated
Location: NY Brooklyn, New York, United States
Ava Labs UI team is looking for a Senior JavaScript developer to join us as we build open-source and private SDKs, these SDKs are used for our internal applications as well as consumer-facing. Ava Labs is an extensible ecosystem platform and our SDKs allow developers at companies of all sizes to integrate their own applications into our ever-growing ecosystem. The UI team is responsible for all things UI related and as such we work as a team to provide the best in class experience to our users as well as our developer community. We are a polyglot team and while we are looking for more JavaScript experience, we also value a generalist mindset and co-learning across domains.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design and build software development kits (SDKs) and other tooling for the available applications as well as our consumer-facing products (We use Typescript)
- Assist with integrating these SDKs into our internal applications where needed
- Interact with our customers through Github, responding to issues and reviewing pull requests
- Interact with ecosystem engineers to help them get up and running, making sure their products work with our ecosystem
- Participate in software design and code review for all libraries that the team creates
- Implement holistic testing strategies to assert we're delivering a good developer experience
- Write documentation for the libraries that we create
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 4+ years working as a full-stack web developer (you've written production front-end code and back-end code (backend a plus, not a requirement), and can empathize with developers in both realms.)
- 4+ years working with JavaScript as your primary language (you have a favorite ES6 feature, and probably an opinion on yarn vs npm)
- Written a production SDK used
- Experience with JavaScript/Typescript unit and end-to-end testing
NICE TO HAVE:
- Development experience with Lerna
- Experience with React
- Experience writing JavaScript tests with modern tools like Jest
- Experience interacting with other developers on Github (e.g. opening issues, contributing to issues, filing pull requests)
- Experience working with a product-oriented, agile culture
- Blockchain experience a huge plus but not required (we can help with that)
