Crypto VC Investor

North Island Ventures is seeking an VC Investor to join its venture capital investments team. The Investor’s primary responsibilities will include:

• sourcing investment opportunities in Web3 and crypto
• performing due diligence for potential investments in Web3 startups and tokens
• supporting NIV portfolio investments
• researching emerging trends in the crypto industry

We are flexible on amount of work experience, level of seniority, and title – what matters is that the investor can excel at the responsibilities listed above, is incredibly passionate about the potential of Web3 and crypto, and is a collaborative, low-ego team player.

The essence of the role is to live at the bleeding edge of crypto, with a focus on early-stage investment opportunities. The Investor must have the capacity to identify what the best founders in Web3 are building, connect with those founders, and evaluate investment opportunities.

There will be an emphasis on social and communication skills, analytic abilities, investment instincts, and cultural fit. We work as a cohesive team and expect everybody at NIV to think like an owner, not an agent. The Investor will receive training commensurate with his or her level of experience but must be a self-starter and independent thinker who can operate with minimal supervision in due course.

The Investor must live or be willing to relocate to NYC. We work from the office four days per week.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated interest in and passion for Web3 and crypto
• Deep curiosity, strong opinions, and intellectual flexibility
• Background in venture capital, crypto, or tech operating role preferred
