AQUA is hiring a Web3 Data Infrastructure Engineer

Data is central at AQUA and we are currently building a modern and scalable data platform to democratize data across the organization, granting access to reliable data across internal and external parties. The Data Infrastructure Engineer will have the opportunity to participate in critical decision making as we build and scale the team.
What you will be doing
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
- Write unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering wiki, and documents work.
- Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
- Work closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, and analysts.
- Design data integrations and data quality framework.
- Design and evaluate open source and vendor tools for data lineage.
- Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.
What you should have
- Entrepreneurial abilities to take data-engineering projects from ideation to execution.
- Ability to work in small and fast paced startup environments.
- Process oriented with great documentation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 3+ years of development experience (Python preferred)
- 3+ years of SQL experience (No-SQL experience is a plus)
- 3+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling
- Ability in managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines (e.g. ETL/ELT).
Bonus Points
- A passion for W3 and Gaming.
- Experience with Developing data centric micro-services with FastAPI.
- Experience with managing Feature-stores (e.g. Feast) for our ML initiative.
- Experience with writing transformation queries using DBT (data-build-tool).
