WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director, Payment Technologies to lead the development and launch of our groundbreaking stablecoin product backed by a diversified basket of commodities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial engineering, economics, and currency markets, coupled with a deep understanding of sound money principles. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and managing the stablecoin product, ensuring its stability, security, and seamless integration into the global financial ecosystem. Other responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers, economists, legal and compliance experts, and marketing professionals, to conceptualize, design, and launch the stablecoin product.
- Conducting thorough market research to identify opportunities, challenges, and potential competitors within the stablecoin and commodity-backed digital asset space.
- Developing a comprehensive roadmap, outlining key milestones, timelines, and deliverables for the stablecoin project.
- Defining the composition of the commodity basket, utilizing advanced economic and financial models to optimize stability, diversification, and value preservation.
- Working closely with external partners and regulators to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and guidelines.
- Monitoring currency markets, economic indicators, and global financial trends to inform decision-making and optimize the stablecoin's performance.
- Implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential volatility and ensure the stability of the stablecoin's value over time.
- Leading user research and feedback collection initiatives to refine the stablecoin product based on user preferences and needs.
- Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to develop effective strategies for promoting the stablecoin product to a global audience.
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact the stablecoin landscape.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
To ensure success, you must be prepared to lead a complex, novel project with an ambitious vision. You possess strong initiative, communication, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including engineering, legal and compliance teams. You must be passionate about working to develop new technology and always interested in solving problems with innovative approach.
YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A PhD is a plus. Proven experience within the fintech or blockchain industry. In-depth understanding of currency markets, monetary policy, and the principles of sound money. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to apply financial models and economic theories to real-world scenarios. Prior experience with stablecoin projects or similar initiatives is a must. International experience and familiarity with global financial markets and regulatory environments.
