Since 2015, Consensus is the only festival showcasing and celebrating all sides of the blockchain, crypto, and Web 3 ecosystems, and their wide-reaching effect on commerce, culture, and communities.

This year, Consensus will be held in Austin, Texas from May 29-31, 2024, bringing tens of thousands of attendees together to hear from sought-after thought leaders and experience a wide range of discussions, meetings, parties, music performances, dinners, experiences, and much more.

About the Role

This is a 6 month contract position with an estimated start date in January 2024 and will terminate in June 2024. Note that we are only considering applicants who currently reside in the United States for this position.

The Events Programming Coordinator will support the events programming team for Consensus 2024 by maintaining the speaker database, managing speaker onboarding and relations, ensuring the marketing and events teams have all needed programming assets, updating speakers and agendas on the website and helping the team adhere to programming timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Consensus 2024 speaker database
  • Manage speaker onboarding
  • Coordinate pre-event logistics and prep calls for speakers
  • Monitor and update speaker and agenda postings on the website
  • Assist in content development through original research and relationship development
  • Ensure the marketing and events teams have all needed programming assets
  • Meet, greet and manage speakers on site as needed

About You

  • Highly collaborative, superb organizational skills, effective communicator and tech savvy
  • 2+ years experience in content creation and/or event programming
  • Minimum advanced education requirement: Bachelors Degree
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and creatively problem solve under deadline and in a live-event environment
  • Strong interest or previous work experience in the crypto/blockchain industry is plus!
  • Comfortable with multiple technology and data management systems: event platforms, Airtable, Bizzabo, Excel etc
  • Comfortable with the demands of a start-up culture with limited resources
