Magic Eden is hiring a Web3 Finance Operations Lead
Compensation: $68k - $90k estimated

Magic Eden is seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Lead that is independent and self-motivated with a strong desire to understand how things work, organized with attention to detail, and flexible in this rapidly growing environment. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in establishing the finance operations function at Magic Eden. As a finance generalist, you will oversee system revamps, treasury operations, tax operations, and policy implementation. Additionally, you will spearhead special projects aimed at driving strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned
- Develop and implement scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners to operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions
- With major system experience, recognize the links upstream/downstream and verbalize the impacts & reliance internal business partners have on the various functions.
- Participate in critical finance, including the implementation of new system logics or enhancements.
- Provide project requirements and coordinate, manage and oversee any testing to improve existing processes and automate any related systems
- Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility
- Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures for all tasks
What you bring:
- 10+ years of broad-based finance experience, ideally in technology, fintech, or digital asset industries
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
