About the Role:

CoinDesk is seeking a social media producer and editor to produce and manage the social media experience for its two limited-run original content video series.

The producer is a project manager who manages and produces every piece of content to drive engagement and awareness.

They are responsible for writing and producing their own content to meet audience KPIs of engagement, views and followers to the show’s accounts with minimal supervision.

The position is freelance position for immediate hire with high potential for follow-on opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage and execute end-to-end content strategy to pique interest and engagement in CoinDesk shows across distribution platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and YouTube Shorts, including native and influencer content collaborations
• Select soundbites or moments to highlight through video clips and packages or images such as pull quotes and behind-the-scenes moments
• Write instructions and collaboration copy for influencers to drive awareness and engagement
• Write copy for text message engagement experience
• Edit and produce video clips and packages for horizontal and vertical formats
• Curate and design social images such as pull quote cards and moments
• Write and publish engaging social copy catered to each platform’s audience
• Adhere to brand guidelines and journalistic ethics in all visuals and copy
• Manage and report data insights of campaign performance

Skills:

• Editorial sensibility to execute a holistic content strategy and select moments from shows to highlight
• Social media sensibility to know what content types drive engagement on each platform
• Video production skills to edit video packages
• Excellent short-form English writing skills and fluent knowledge of AP >
• Excellent ability to to manage autonomously and solve problems under pressure
• Social image design skills a strong plus
• Interest in crypto is a plus, but not required for this role
