Bitfury is hiring a Web3 Group Financial Reporting Manager (Remote)
Compensation: $36k - $87k estimated
Location: TB Tbilisi, Tbilisi, Georgia
Job Purpose
To support the Head of Financial Reporting in all areas of compliance, audit and financial reporting across the Group.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Participate in preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS and quarterly reports to the board and other stakeholders.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Participate in implementation process of new IFRS standards.
- Provide technical accounting and implementation support and training to members of the finance team on the treatment of accounting issues in compliance with IFRS requirements.
- Participate in accounts reconciliation process of various complex balances like – loans, BTC receivable & BTC payable, investments, share based payments, joint ventures, joint arrangements, forex etc.
- Coordinate the Company's annual audit with the independent auditors for both the Group consolidated and local audits.
- Take part in statutory reporting and audit of various subsidiaries of the Group.
- Provide regular feedback, take initiative for process improvement.
- Participate in research and resolve accounting issues, including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
- Provide continuous development of external reporting disclosures considering changing external reporting environment.
- Update the accounting policies manual and develop new policies to ensure consistency and compliance with IFRS requirements.
- Manage interactions with and develop Company’s memos and other analysis for internal and external auditors for their audit/review of semi-annual and annual financial statements and specific accounting matters, as they arise.
- Ensure adherence to deadlines and attainment of standards across the areas of responsibility in the delivery of external reporting.
- Partner and execute on other finance related projects and initiatives as directed by the senior managers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualified.
- 3-4 year of relevant work experience in top 10.
- Excellent MS Office skills with strong excel knowledge.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to see wider picture.
- Self-sufficient, with hands-on nature.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Updated knowledge of IFRS.
- Comfortable working with different cultures and mind-sets.
- Appreciation to work in a global organization with employees in different time zones/regions.
- Flexibility, the need to be comfortable with ambiguity as the business grows and evolves.
