Web3 Head of Custody

Gate.HK, a leading virtual asset trading platform that leverages on the technology of Gate Group, is seeking an experienced Head of Custody to oversee our digital asset custody services. As the Head of Custody, you will be responsible for establishing and managing a robust custody framework to safeguard our customers' digital assets. If you have a deep understanding of custody practices, possess strong leadership skills, and thrive in a highly regulated environment, we would love to hear from you. 

What you will be doing:

● Develop and implement a comprehensive digital asset custody strategy.

● Establish custody policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory requirements.

● Oversee the safekeeping, storage, and movement of digital assets.

● Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate custody services with trading operations.

● Manage relationships with third-party custodians and service providers.

● Conduct regular audits and reviews of custody processes and systems.

● Stay up to date with evolving blockchain technologies and security advancements.

● Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on custody-related matters.

● Prepare and present custody reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.

Who are we looking for:

● Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

● Minimum 7 years of experience in finance and/or fintech industry, with 2 years in digital asset custody or a related field.

● Strong knowledge of custody practices, processes, and security protocols.

● Familiarity with blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

● Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks related to custody services.

● Excellent leadership and managerial skills.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

● Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

● Experience in building and managing high-performing teams.

● Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in written Chinese and spoken Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly desirable
