About Polygon Labs
Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the AggLayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the AggLayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.
Your Role
 As a key member of the APAC team, you will be at the forefront of driving business development and fostering strategic collaborations in the web3 space. Your mission is to source and nurture high-quality leads, build strong relationships with early-stage web3-native projects, and engage with founders and web3-focused venture capital firms to strengthen Polygon Labs' presence in the APAC region.
This dynamic role is evenly split between business development and lead generation (50%) and strategic initiatives aimed at supporting high-potential founders and projects. You will collaborate closely with the APAC business development team, as well as with marketing, events, and Developer Relations (DevRel) teams to support long-term ecosystem growth.
Your Responsibilities
Business Development and Lead Generation (50%)
Identify and source high-potential collaborations within the APAC region, focusing on early-stage web3 startups.
Validate, negotiate, and successfully close engagements with sourced projects.
Engage with venture capital firms, university blockchain clubs, and community organizations to generate leads and expand the pipeline.
Founder and Ecosystem Growth (30%)
Build and maintain strong relationships with promising early-stage founders.
Conduct regular check-ins to track project progress and provide relevant growth opportunities and resources.
VC and University Engagement (20%)
Strengthen relationships with web3-focused venture capital firms in APAC and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Develop and manage a database of leading university blockchain clubs across Asia, selectively engaging with those that demonstrate long-term potential.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Strategy
Marketing and PR Alignment: Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to highlight the success stories of APAC-based projects and enhance Polygon Labsâ brand presence.
Event Coordination: Work with the events team to maximize Polygon Labsâ visibility at key regional conferences, ensuring meaningful engagement with founders and collaborators.
Strategic Execution and Tracking: Use CRM tools to track business development efforts and refine strategies for greater impact.
What You'll Need
3+ years of experience in a developer-facing role within web3 (e.g., business development, ecosystem growth, or collaborations).
A genuine passion for web3 technologies and decentralized applications.
Deep understanding of blockchain technology and regular experience using web3 dApps.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with CRM and partner management tools, with strong attention to detail.
