Web3 Head of Procurement

We are looking for a Head of Procurement to join our Finance team at a very exciting time of growth. Reporting into our CFO, this role will be critical in building a world class team to support OpenSea’s growth and make an immediate impact on the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is motivated by a fast-paced environment, adaptable to changing responsibilities and priorities, and wants to do interesting work in a cutting-edge new industry.

Responsibilities: - Develop a comprehensive organizational procurement and strategic sourcing strategy. - Effectively engage cross-functional leaders to align priorities, anticipate needs, drive business results and understand how procurement can most effectively deliver value across the entire organization. - Identify and realize significant cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities.  - Hire, manage and develop the skills of our procurement team, including training development and knowledge management capabilities. - Proactively manage the expiration and re-procurement of existing contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders. - Manage the T&E approval process and evaluate business travel management solutions to optimize spend and team member experience.

Desired Experience: - At least 8 years of procurement experience.  - Experience leading multiple projects at the same time, working with individuals at different skill levels, and negotiating successfully while maintaining positive relationships. - Strong sense of ownership and accountability. - Ability to work well in a dynamic environment, recommend and implement process improvements, hands-on, results-oriented and self-motivated. - Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. - Growth mindset and are willing to quickly adapt and learn new thingsExperience with blockchain or cryptocurrency, startup experience is a plus.
