Someone who can communicate and deal effectively with senior government officials / bureaucrats and ministers as well as internal teams to create a seamless flow of information to drive policies favoring the company and the industry. The person will support the SVP, Public Policy in identifying key policy issues, gather views and opinions, and distill and share the company’s perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. What will you be doing?
Support SVP, Public Policy in identifying key policy issues, gather views and opinions, and distill and share the company’s perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. Develop and implement strategies for stakeholder outreach and engagement, specifically focusing on policymakers and government offices in India. Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant policy makers and regulators, Anticipate, assess, and communicate potential regulatory developments that may impact the Internet and gaming industries. Develop mitigation strategies and coordinate external advocacy efforts accordingly. Collaborate with government offices to build a working relationship and rapport. Meet with and arrange meetings and interactions with senior leadership when needed. Advocate for favorable policies and regulations at an interpersonal level, leveraging your network and influencing skills. Advise senior leadership on public policy matters to guide the development of products, services, and policies related to the Internet and gaming industries. Represent the company in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including policymakers and government officials.
What are we looking for? Essential Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field; passionate about the internet, tech products, and services. Minimum of 10 years of experience working with public policy issues, specifically in stakeholder outreach and engagement with policymakers and government offices. Proven track record of successfully establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant policy makers and regulators. Excellent network and contacts within the government and policymaking community. Exceptional personal, political, analytical, organizational, and people management skills. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Strong professional reputation for ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a relevant business or non-governmental organization, think tank, or in a political, governmental, or regulatory context. Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and regulatory issues. Ability to work independently as well as a team player in a multitask work environment. Demonstrated success in building relationships with relevant policy makers and regulators at Central and State levels Collaborative efforts with government offices to establish a working relationship and rapport. Proven ability to arrange meetings and interactions with senior leadership when needed. Track record of successful policy advocacy at an interpersonal level. Clear and demonstrable experience of working with the government to achieve positive business outcomes.
