Job Overview

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator supports CleanSpark’s enterprise security operations through real-time monitoring, incident detection, and coordinated response across corporate and operational environments. Operating within a 24/7 control center, this role maintains situational awareness, monitors enterprise security technologies, coordinates response activities, and ensures timely escalation of security events to help protect CleanSpark’s people, assets, and operations.

Success in this role requires sound judgment, strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to maintain proficiency with evolving security technologies and operational tools. This position operates on assigned shifts within a 24/7 environment and requires participation in pre-shift and post-shift briefings to support operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor enterprise security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, drone platforms, Blue Force Tracking, OSINT resources, and related security technologies.
  • Identify, assess, triage, and escalate security incidents in accordance with established procedures and escalation protocols.
  • Maintain enterprise-wide situational awareness by monitoring operational conditions, system alerts, and emerging threats.
  • Serve as the central communication point during security incidents by coordinating with on-site personnel, internal stakeholders, and emergency responders.
  • Dispatch and track security resources while documenting incidents and response activities within incident management systems.
  • Review video, compile documentation, and support security investigations as needed.
  • Perform routine system checks and execute responsibilities in accordance with established SOPs and operational playbooks.
  • Participate in required training, maintain proficiency with GSOC technologies and security platforms, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in scheduled pre-shift and post-shift briefings to ensure effective communication, operational readiness, and seamless shift turnover.
This role requires professionalism, respect, strong communication, and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented, inclusive environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a GSOC, SOC, dispatch, emergency communications, monitoring center, military, law enforcement, or similar operational environment.
  • Experience using CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, or comparable security technologies.
  • Ability to learn and effectively operate multiple security platforms, monitoring systems, and operational technologies.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Academic background in Business, Operations, Finance, Communications, Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Previous internship, campus leadership, volunteer leadership, or project experience.
  • Interest in energy, technology, digital infrastructure, or Bitcoin mining.
  • Experience using project management or collaboration platforms such as Monday.com or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment.
$26 - $28 an hour
This position may involve duties that require operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites. As such, candidates must be insurable under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy.
