The Access Administrator (Identity Governance) is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing access to organizational systems, applications, and data in alignment with corporate security and compliance standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that access rights are granted and maintained appropriately, minimizing risks associated with unauthorized or excessive access. The administrator will collaborate closely with internal teams to support identity governance frameworks and enhance the organization’s security posture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Grant, modify, or revoke user access and permissions across systems, applications, and data based on role-based access control (RBAC) policies. Monitor and resolve access-related incidents and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Enforce identity governance policies and ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOX).Conduct regular access reviews and user certification processes to validate appropriate access levels for all users. Assist with the implementation of identity management solutions and security controls to support organizational needs.
- Perform regular auditing of user access to identify and address excessive or unauthorized access permissions. Maintain detailed logs of access activities for reporting and audit purposes. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during security and compliance assessments.
- Act as a middle point between IT, security, and business teams to ensure access provisioning aligns with company policies and operational requirements. Support new hire onboarding, role changes, and offboarding by managing user account setup and access de-provisioning. Deliver training and support for employees in understanding identity governance protocols and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance access management processes. Provide insights and recommendations for improving identity governance frameworks and tools. Stay updated on evolving technologies and trends in access management and identity governance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Prior experience in access administration, identity governance, or related roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with identity governance tools and directory services.
- Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) principles and identity lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of IT security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working across teams and stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of identity and access risks and mitigation strategies.
- Ability to streamline and improve complex access management processes.
- Takes responsibility for ensuring secure and compliant access across systems.
- Professional certifications. Experience with large-scale identity governance programs or enterprise-level access management. Familiarity with automation of identity governance workflows.
