What we expect from you
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Internal Audit, preferably a CPA, CISA or CIA, with 0-2 years of experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Previous audit experience in the financial services or financial technology industry will be an advantage
- With good understanding of auditing procedures and techniques, as well as accounting principles and standards
- With good understanding of risk management (identification, assessment, mitigation), risk management frameworks, and the three lines of defense
- Preferably with knowledge or experience on basic IT Auditing and Information Security
- Good report writing, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Can perform audit assignments with minimal supervision if needed
- Knowledge or experience in cryptocurrency is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with Cloud Security and Infrastructure is a plus but not required
What you'll do
- Assist in the audit planning which involves obtaining initial understanding or overview of the business and IT processes under review, conducting risk assessment discussion, scope determination, engagement scheduling and budgeting.
- Ensure that the requested audit artifacts are sent to the concerned unit/s at the start of the engagement and are tracked properly.
- Participate in the process walkthrough discussions with auditee.
- Perform controls testing which includes test of design and test of operating effectiveness.
- Identify gaps and areas for improvement.
- Document the process understanding, audit procedures performed, and the results of the review.
- Assist in the monitoring and compilation of the audit working papers to ensure that documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Assist the Senior Internal Auditor in the preparation of the final audit reports.
- Coordinate and communicate with auditee to ensure requested evidences are obtained, confirm process understanding and identified gaps.
- Improve knowledge based on the latest auditing techniques, trends and best practices in the audit profession.
- Establish and enhance industry knowledge through trainings and certifications specifically in AML CTF, IT Auditing, Information Security, and Cryptocurrency
